Elizabeth Seelbach, Director of Strategy at Resource One Credit Union (R1CU), joined us on the show to share her reaction to being named to the 2026 CUES Emerge Final 5,sharing her business case: "Member Shield Framework: A Proactive Scam Prevention and Intervention Model."
Elizabeth shared that she joined the competition to challenge herself and has found the year-long experience valuable for learning resources and making industry connections.
Her business case, called the "Member Shield Framework," focuses on proactive scam prevention and intervention, inspired by her grandparents' experience with scammers and broader research showing scams affect people of all ages. Elizabeth outlined six implementable items for her credit union, including an AI-powered dashboard and AI call center agents to help prevent fraud proactively rather than reactively.
She advised future CUES Emerge participants to fully engage with the process and trust the program's approach.
